Yingli Green Energy powers Tibetan families with off-grid PV systems

BAODING, China, Dec. 27, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Yingli Green Energy Holding Company Limited (NYSE: YGE) ("Yingli Green Energy" or the "Company"), a leading solar energy company and one of the world's largest vertically integrated photovoltaic manufacturers, which markets its products under the brand "Yingli Solar," today announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Yingli Energy (China) Company Limited ("Yingli China") has partnered with Longyuan (Tibet) New Energy Company Limited ("Longyuan") to supply 22,209 sets of off-grid PV systems to families with limited access to electricity in Tibet.

In addition, Yingli China has supplied an extra 12 MW of PV modules for a Chinese customer who also cooperates with Longyuan to provide off-grid PV systems to Tibetan families. These modules are expected to power more than 48,000 families in this area.
