Safety Cases can be large complicated documents which have masses of detail, some of which may be irrelevant. Normally included in the Safety Case are such things as Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRA), which mainly only risk practitioners understand and are of little value to your average rig worker. 

IADC has done a lot of good work developing guidelines for producing Safety Cases that would be accepted by legislators worldwide. This presentation briefly examines the IADC guidelines and identifies how Safety Cases could perhaps be put in a more practical format, therefore providing a document of greater value to the workforce and their employers, while addressing all legislative requirements.
