PTL Solar™ installs First Ever GRENLite™ Solar powered billboard in Saudi Arabia

Wednesday, Aug 25, 2010

PTL Solar™ - Solar Billboard lights division received a purchase order of GRENLite™ Induction lighting for installation in Saudi Arabia to a major advertising company for its billboard lighting solutions.

The decision to purchase GRENLite™ systems were opted taking into consideration the high costs for installing a traditional street lighting system as opposed to a solar system. The system requires no manual start-up but automatically switches on for dusk – dawn operation. The system was powered using high efficient RELIANCE solar PV modules.

GRENLite™ Solar Billboard Lighting Kit is the world’s foremost solar billboard lighting kit.  These kits deliver superior performance and return on investment.  Because most solar billboard lighting kits are made with LED light fixtures, they do not deliver the same quality or quantity of light as the GRENLite™, which has a lifetime of 100,000 Hours. These lights were used to light up uni-pole besides roadway in Riyadh. The system installs easily and requires no maintenance or servicing for up to five years.
