Heraeus purchases the Ferro Corporation's solar paste business

HANAU, Germany, February 6, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --Heraeus Precious Metals, business group of the German precious metal and technology group Heraeus, has purchased the Ferro Corporation's solar paste business unit. Heraeus acquires the assets including intellectual property associated with development and production of metallization pastes for solar cells.  The former Ferro activities will be integrated in the Photovoltaics Business Unit of Heraeus, a leading innovator and supplier of metallization pastes for solar cells. With the signing of the contract on February 06, 2013, Heraeus continues its long-term commitment to photovoltaics.
