DTE Energy's GreenCurrents Renewable Energy Program Receives National Recognition

DTE Energy will be recognized for its leadership in promoting the company's GreenCurrents renewable energy program by the Center for Resource Solutions, one of the nation's leading environmental organizations. DTE Energy will be presented with a Green Power Beacon Award Oct. 27 at the 2008 National Renewable Energy Marketing Conference in Denver for its efforts to increase awareness of renewable energy options in Michigan.

GreenCurrents provides DTE Energy's 2.2 million electric customers theoption of ""greening up"" their power with renewable energy created fromwind, biomass and other environmentally friendly sources. Since theprogram's inception in April 2007, more than 14,000 customers have signedup for GreenCurrents, making it one of the fastest growing voluntaryrenewable energy programs in the country.
