China Offshore Wind Power Sector Outlook Favourable for Long Term Investments, Says TechSci Research

According to the recent research report “China Wind Power Market Outlook 2014” by TechSci Research, the cumulative installed offshore wind power capacity is expected to grow fivefold between 2015 and 2020. As per TechSci Research Energy Model, the off-shore wind power utilization in China will remain below 10% even after witnessing fivefold increase in installation capacity during the period 2015 to 2020.

According to the Senior Partner (Renewable Energy), “The focus of wind power sector in China will now shift towards the development of offshore resources in coming decade. The coastal provinces of China, Shandong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian and Shanghai will remain the key focus areas of offshore wind farm development.
